Swedfund International is Sweden's development finance institution focused on reducing poverty through sustainable investments in developing countries. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it seeks to deliver development impact alongside financial results, with activities concentrated in Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Ukraine. It pursues its mission through two main tools: direct investments in the private sector and feasibility studies in the public sector conducted via the Project Accelerator. 

Its investments aim to create jobs with decent working conditions and to expand access to essential products and services such as electricity, food, and digital connectivity, while also strengthening local economies, promoting gender equality, and supporting climate mitigation and resilience. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, the organization maintains a regional presence to understand local markets, and in 2026 launched the Swedfund Business Accelerator to help Swedish SMEs establish partnerships in Ukraine.
