The Swedish Pensions Agency is a government authority responsible for administering Sweden’s national pension system. Since 1 January 2010, it has consolidated all national pension administration into a single agency to simplify processes for pension savers and pensioners and to centralize information about the national pension. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, the agency operates within the public sector’s administration of social benefits. It serves as the primary custodian of national pension information and related services, guiding citizens through the system. Anna Pettersson Westerberg was appointed director general in 2024. In March 2025, the agency launched a tender for two systems to support the sustainability analysis of financial portfolios and securities.
