Sweet Generation is a social enterprise bakery (est. 2012) located in New York City, with a retail store, wholesale operation, and a social mission program (RISE) that trains and employs youth from marginalized communities in our creative bakery space, while empowering and preparing them to access quality employment. Voted "Best Cupcake in NYC" by the Village Voice, we pair unique and memorable flavors using natural, whole ingredients whenever possible. Our pastries are not mass produced - they are handmade with care by pastry artists, with the help of young people from the community developing their professional and technical skills. Sweet Generation has established a reputation as one of the best new bakeries in NYC. In fact, Sweet Generation was named one of 12 Super Heroes of the NYC Dining Scene by Zagat, awarded “Best Cupcake” in NYC by the Village Voice, and has also recently been featured on ABC’s The Chew, NBC's HARRY TV, and have had several appearances on Bravo TV’s reality show Blood, Sweat & Heels. Sweet Generation has also been featured by DKNY, Elite Daily, The Village Voice, The Forward, Time Out, Bedford & Bowery, Eater, and DNA Info. Our flagship retail cafe opened in January 2015 in the East Village of NYC (130 1st Ave. NY NY, 10009).
