Swimming Canada is the national governing body for competitive swimming in Canada, coordinating clubs and athletes and guiding the sport from development through high-performance competition. It counts 75,000 members and 400 swim clubs across the country, and works to advance participation in swimming, fitness, and health through the sport. The federation provides pathways for high performance for both able-bodied swimmers and swimmers with a disability, and recognizes swimming as a prominent summer Olympic and Paralympic sport in Canada. Headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, it operates within the spectator sports sector with a nationwide footprint. In May 2026, Commonwealth Sport Canada partnered with Swimming Canada to name five additional Para swimmers to Team Canada, illustrating ongoing collaboration to strengthen international competition.
