Swiss German University (SGU) is a higher education institution based in Banten, Indonesia, founded in 2000 as the first international university with an academic license recognized under Indonesian law by the National Ministry of Education (DIKNAS). The university offers English-taught programs across engineering, information technology, business, life sciences, and social sciences, comprising 11 bachelor’s degrees and 3 master’s degrees and integrating practical training with theoretical study. It maintains an international orientation through partnerships with 17 universities and 250 companies across Europe, aligning its curriculum with international standards. The institution aims to develop graduates capable of competing globally, supported by a faculty where about 90% hold degrees earned abroad and have professional experience in their fields. In December 2024, SGU announced a collaboration with AFTECH to boost fintech innovation and financial literacy.
