SWISSto12 is a Swiss-based design and manufacturing company in the telecommunications and aerospace sectors that produces advanced RF products, satellite payloads and systems, including the HummingSat geostationary telecommunications satellite. These satellites and payloads rely on patented 3D printing technologies to deliver lightweight, compact, high-performance RF functionality. The company spun off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in 2011, is privately owned and backed by Swiss and European investors, and is headquartered in Lausanne with offices in the USA and elsewhere in Europe. It employs 201 to 500 people and, in 2026, expanded its facilities in Renens, opening Switzerland's largest satellite integration facility and adding a 1,000 square meter cleanroom to its existing 5,500 square meter development and production site. In 2026, SWISSto12 pursued European collaborations such as developing a deployable antenna reflector for commercial GEO satellites with the HPS/LSS consortium, and signed a procurement contract with Space Compass Corporation for the first GEO optical data relay satellite.
