Sycamore Community School District 427 is a public K–12 education system serving the Sycamore area in Illinois. It oversees elementary through high school programs and aims to empower all learners to succeed in their lives and communities, a purpose that grew from the district’s first strategic design in 2001 after discussions with students, staff, and community members. The district is based in Sycamore, Illinois, and serves the local community through its educational offerings. With a mid-sized staff, the district provides a range of programs to support student achievement and well-being. It has engaged with the broader community through initiatives such as a Habitat for Humanity partnership under its Kindness Grows Here program and by establishing the Sycamore Alumni and Friends network to connect former students and supporters. In 2026, the district appointed Dr. Phoebe Balentyne as Director of Learning & Teaching for grades 6–12.
