William A. Jetter, Ph.D., is a 31 year veteran of the fire service and is currently the EMS & Fire Director/Fire Chief in Sycamore Township, Ohio, , Dr. Jetter is as adjunct faculty member of the National Fire Academy, State of Ohio Fire Academy, Adjunct Professor at American Public University and Instructor of the Fire Science program at Cincinnati State Technical College is certified as an Instructor in the State of Ohio in Fire Safety Inspector Programs, Fire Science, Hazardous Materials and Rescue Technology. Jetter has a BS in Science, a Masters Degree (graduated 1994, Cum Laude) in Fire Safety Management, and a Doctorate (graduated 1997, Summa Cum Laude) in Fire Safety Management. Jetter has lectured on a variety of emergency service topics for State & Federal Emergency Managers, Dr. Jetter has been published nationally and has recently written a paper for the Institute of Fire Engineers (Malaysia Branch Conference on Borderless Response to Disasters). Dr. Jetter has lecture on Borderless Disasters at the Institute of Fire Engineer 2001 agm held in Nottingham, England. Dr. Jetter has author a book on leadership title Artful Ascension. Dr. Jetter has published a children’s book “Little Green Fire Truck” in 2008. . Dr. Jetter now serves as past President of the USA Branch of the Institute of Fire Engineers. Jetter is a certified in Homeland Security through The American Board for Certification in Homeland Security Jetter has been awarded his Chief Fire Officer Designation by the Commission on Professional Credentialing, Center for Public safety. Dr. Jetter is current president of the Hamilton County Fire Chief Association. Dr. Jetter serves on Advisory Boards for the University of Cincinnati ,Union Institute & University and Cincinnati State Technical College. Jetter serves on the editor staff International Fire Service Journal of Leadership and Management. Dr.Jetter and his wife Judy have two sons and two grandsons.
