At SynED, we’ve discovered that workforce development cannot exist in isolation. It’s intrinsically connected to economic development and community building—a holistic ecosystem rather than a standalone challenge. Our approach begins with a fundamental conviction: communities already possess the resources needed to create economic opportunity, but these resources often remain disconnected. Like skilled community organizers, we believe that grassroots, personal connections drive lasting change. We engage in direct outreach—personal phone calls, one-on-one meetings, and community gatherings—to build relationships that transcend institutional boundaries. Traditional workforce models often create a costly revolving door of recruitment and turnover. Our alternative focuses on building consensus and collaboration across education, industry, and government. We develop skills-based frameworks that ensure employers and candidates speak the same language while creating customized programs that bridge training and productive employment. What truly distinguishes our work is how we transform entire regional economies through this community-organizing approach. We mobilize stakeholders at every level—from classroom to boardroom—to align their efforts toward a shared vision of economic vitality. Through this grassroots engagement, we don’t just connect people to jobs; we strengthen the economic foundation of entire communities. We invite you to join us in this movement to reimagine how communities can build strong networks that support meaningful careers and sustainable prosperity for all.
