The Syracuse University Libraries, based in Syracuse, New York, serve as a central partner in the university's teaching, learning, student experience, and research mission. They attract more than 1.2 million in-person visitors and 1.3 million online visitors each year, reflecting broad access to resources. The libraries maintain a diverse collection of more than 4.6 million items and provide access to over 500 research databases, alongside staff support and current technology to support all academic programs. The system comprises multiple facilities and units, including Bird Library with the Learning Commons and Special Collections, the Carnegie Library on Shaw Quadrangle, the King + King Architecture Library, and a high-density storage facility, in addition to Syracuse University Press and the Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars. In February 2026, the LaunchPad hosted the Afropreneurship Celebration and Pitch Competition at Bird Library, awarding prizes to student entrepreneur teams.
