Szott Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides significant financial assistance to families who have a child undergoing cancer therapy. Families are given a monetary Gift of Time so that one parent can stay home from work to take care of the emotional, medical, and physical needs of the family. Since it was founded in January 2007 the Szott Foundation has given 22 Gifts of Time ranging in size from $6,000 to $25,000. To date, the organization has provided gifts to families whose children are being treated in the St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN area. The goal over the next couple of years is to expand the reach to families regionally and nationally.
