Doug Taber, Jr. had a vision when he set foot into the old Garosshen Hardware Store, he home improvement store that townsfolk knew and loved before closing its doors more than a decade ago. He would restore, renovate, and breathe new life into the old Garosshen building. 
 
     Now, along with new business partner Sandy Ruzanski, they’ve turned it into a home for their newly expanded real estate business, Taber Realty, Inc. Through a combination of hard work, dedication, and a genuine care for their clients, Taber Realty has been the buzz of Windham County.
 
     Taber Realty, Inc.(formerly ProMax Realty) is a modern real estate company with state-of-the-art technology designed to assist buyers and sellers in achieving maximum results. Together, Taber and Ruzanski aim to change the local real estate industry with their unique combination of technical skills and genuine knowledge of the real estate market. Their ultimate goal is to preserve the memory of the Garosshen hardware store by offering great service the old-fashioned way – by providing clients with personalized, one-on-one service, and not losing sight of each individual client’s needs. “All of our clients appreciate the time we take to make sure they feel comfortable through the buying/selling process without feeling pressured.      The newly named Taber Realty, Inc. is already being noticed. “I love the new name, the new office, the new agents – everything…it is such a nice place to walk into. There was no one breathing down my neck. Yhey were all so friendly,” says Deb E, who is starting to look for a new home.
 
     Just as Garosshen Hardware offered to its customers, Taber Realty, Inc. vows to keep the small town, customer-oriented tradition alive, and promises to deliver a unique service that will be known and respected by the locals for years to come. "Kind of like what you’d find when you’d dig deep in the bins of the old hardware store, a treasure unlike any other you’d find elsewhere."
