Tactical Assault Gear, known throughout the world as TAG, was founded in 2001 in a 1,000 square foot retail shop in Imperial Beach, CA. Today TAG stays true to its founding vision—to create and develop cutting edge tactical gear for today's Military and Law Enforcement who are protecting our country. Critical to that is proper equipment weight management which reduces heat stress, heat casualties, water consumption, back pain, shoulder/neck pain, knee injuries, ankle and foot injuries just to name a few. The days of making gear "bomb proof" by using 3 to 4 layers of 1000 weight nylon are over. An advance in materials and feedback from operators has lead to the development of what we believe to be the best gear TAG has ever produced!

Our recent partnership with LC Industries, an NIB Agency whose mission is to employ people who are blind, combined with TAG's vision of creating the highest quality and innovated tactical equipment ensures we will continue to meet the requirements of our customers well into the future. With breakthrough technology, the visually impaired individuals can manufacture durable and functional, high quality equipment that exceed best-in-class standards.

Now located in Durham, NC we have recently expanded our product offering which now includes products that go well beyond the traditional TAG sewn nylon goods. Today our mix includes a full line of premium brand tactical supplies such as Camelbak, Surefire, Benchmade and Smith Optics to name a few. These high demand, recognized brands provide our Military and Law Enforcement customers the additional tools necessary to complete their missions worldwide. This coupled with our dedication to customer service has made us one of the fastest growing tactical suppliers in the United States.
