Taft Street Winery produces limited-batch, handcrafted wines sourced from select Russian River Valley vineyards, tracing its roots to a garage-wine approach that prioritizes quality over grandeur. Based in Sebastopol, California, the company operates at a smaller scale within the wine industry, distinguishing itself from large, chateau-style operations.

Visitors can sample the wines at the tasting room, with hours Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the tasting fee of $5 is waived with a purchase. Tastings are complimentary for President Club members, and groups under six do not require reservations, while larger parties should contact the tasting room for arrangements. In August 2022, longtime president Mike Tierney retired after more than 40 years with the company.
