TANA From Waste to Value®

Tana Oy is an environmental technology company, specializing in machines and equipment for mechanical processing of solid waste. The company manufactures landfill compactors and recycling machines. Tana is a pioneer of using electrical control systems and artificial intelligence solutions in its equipment. 

In the early seventies, when Tana built the first efficient machines for mechanical waste processing, the doors to a new thinking were opened. So began their visionary work for realizing the value in waste. Over time, the added functionality and intelligence raised the recycling efficiency of their machines to a whole new level.

As Tana is starting its second 50-year cycle, the circular economy has become commonplace. The importance of recycling and waste utilisation is realized all across the globe, while the improvements in technology make recycling more sensible and efficient. The new thinking that was in its bud 50 years ago has fulfilled its promises and blossomed to new possibilities. 

At Tana, we are constantly developing new ways for making our customers business better. That’s why we have created the digital portal TanaConnect®to help to get the most out of valuable machinery.

Tana's products are exported to 50 countries through its comprehensive network of local distributors. Tana holds a 20% share of the landfill compactor markets, being a market leader in several countries. Tana launched its TANA Shark product line of slow-speed waste shredders in 2006 and has managed to reach an impressive position in such a short period of time. TANA Raven Disc Screen was released in early 2025 as a highly requested addition to the recycling machine portfolio.
