Team GB operates as the branding for the United Kingdom’s national Olympic team, under the British Olympic Association, the country’s National Olympic Committee. The BOA selects athletes to compete across 32 summer and eight winter Olympic sports at the Olympic Games and coordinates 40 National Governing Bodies representing each sport. As one of the International Olympic Committee’s 206 recognized NOCs, the BOA is responsible for promoting Olympism in line with the Olympic Charter. Based in the United Kingdom, Team GB is a mid-sized organization that works with athletes, governing bodies, partners, and fans around Olympic participation. Great Britain has hosted the Olympic Games three times in London (1908, 1948, 2012) and has participated in every Summer Games since 1896 and all Winter Games since 1924. In 2026, Sky Group announced a partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB, illustrating ongoing collaboration with sponsors to support Olympic programs.
