Tear Film Innovations (TFI) is a commercial stage company that has developed a break-through product for the treatment of evaporative dry eye including meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).

The iLux device allows direct visualization of meibomian gland orifices and expressed meibum throughout treatment via the magnifying lens.  The proprietary light-based heat source gently warms the eyelid tissue and meibomian glands to a safe therapeutic temperature.  Sensors in the disposable iLux Smart Tip monitor inner and outer eyelid temperature continuously during treatment.  One button control of heating and compression puts treatment in your hands, allowing you to choose the location and duration of treatment.
