The Tempe Elementary School District is a public education district in Tempe, Arizona, serving primary and secondary students across roughly 36 square miles that include parts of Tempe, Phoenix, and Guadalupe. It operates 21 schools, including 14 elementary schools (K-5), four middle schools (6-8), and a range of specialized campuses such as a K-8 continuum, a Montessori school, and a developmental special needs school. The district serves about 11,000 students and sits within an area that also includes Arizona State University, which lies within its boundaries. 
 
 It provides targeted programs for advanced and language learners, including an ASPIRE Academy for gifted students on Connolly Middle School’s campus for grades 6-8 and a Dual Language Program at Aguilar Elementary for preschool through kindergarten with plans to expand. In recent years, the district has pursued partnerships and earned recognition for its work in music education and community collaboration, such as a partnership with Sonoran University to provide free health care to students and families and a Best Communities for Music Education award in 2022.
