Located in the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area, the Tempe Union High School District (TUHSD) is located in Tempe, Arizona and serves approximately 11,500 students in six comprehensive high schools. All six schools and the District received "A" letter grades from the Arizona Department of Education during the 24/25 school year. Three schools - Marcos de Niza, Mountain Pointe, and Desert Vista - are also currently A+ Schools of Excellence, a designation from the Arizona Educational Foundation that recognizes the best-of-the-best in Arizona public schools. The District encompasses 162 square miles and serves the city of Tempe, the Town of Guadalupe, the Gila River Indian community, the Ahwatukee Foothills area of Phoenix and parts of Chandler. Tempe Union’s comprehensive high schools include Tempe High, McClintock, Marcos de Niza, Corona del Sol, Mountain Pointe, and Desert Vista.
