Alice Temperley MBE founded her eponymous label Temperley London in 2000, a year after graduating from the Royal College of Art. Alice continues to head up the creative direction of this British brand, now in its twenty-fourth year of business.
Temperley Bridal, which launched in 2006, is defined by ethereal, timeless silhouettes and is inspired by the romance and decadence of a bygone era. Alongside Heritage, Eveningwear and Ready-to-Wear Collections - Temperley London launched an interiors collection in partnership with Romo in March 2023.
The brand currently operates four standalone stores, including a store in Somerset which houses a Bridal Boutique, as well as stores in London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Alice was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to the Fashion Industry, she is a member of the British Fashion Council Advisory Board and is involved with several charitable organisations, including actively supporting Women for Women International as an Ambassador.
In July 2023, the brand announced a significant change to the business model, ceasing all promotions to bring it more in-line with its championing of slow fashion, commitment to responsibility and respect for garments. ‘Clothes that transcend seasons, creating moments that become memories.
