Templeton Press (Templeton Foundation Inc.) was founded in January 1997 as a nonprofit foundation established by Sir John Templeton. Since its inception, the Press has published nearly two hundred books in our core publishing areas of The Virtues, Science & the Big Questions, Health & Spirituality, and Freedom & Free Enterprise. The impact of the Press is measured not only in the success of our books, but also in the additional programs we offer. We have a wide array of initiatives that go beyond the typical efforts of traditional book publishing, including interactive websites, public action campaigns, smart phone apps, and scholarship contests. We do not just publish books—our ultimate goal is to be the driving force behind positive, enduring, and tangible cultural change, and sometimes having the right book is just the starting point.
