The Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA) is a member-driven organization in the utilities sector based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, founded in 1946. It brings together municipal utilities and electric cooperatives, comprising 153 member systems that serve more than 10 million people across the seven-state Tennessee Valley region. It advocates on policy issues important to its members and provides education, training, conferences, and opportunities for member utilities to collaborate on shared challenges. Its reach extends beyond the Valley through education and training programs that operate in 15 other states, and it offers strategic consulting to help power providers address future workforce and infrastructure needs. In May 2026, TVPPA participated in its 80th Annual Conference in Louisville, where Iverson was honored.
