Tentacle Kitty is a small-scale manufacturing company based in Kingwood, Texas, founded in 2010 by John and Raena Merritt to develop and produce the plush character Tentacle Kitty along with a related roster of companion characters. The business has expanded into a broader intellectual property ecosystem that includes a popular web-comic featuring Tentacle Kitty, Ninja Kitty, Pirate Kitty, and Violet Love, as well as a plush line and a coloring book produced in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics. Its products and content aim to appeal to fans of quirky, character-driven collectibles and storytelling, providing tangible toys and related media for an audience seeking novelty plush items and themed content. The company operates with a small team and positions itself within the manufacturing industry, leveraging partnerships and creative media to extend its offerings beyond plush products. A recent development includes ongoing collaboration and expansion of its character lineup and product ecosystem, as reflected in its diversified output beyond the initial plush toy.
