TESSA Inc. is a fintech startup founded in 2019, well known for fractional investments in blue-chip artworks. With approximately KRW 33 billion (USD ~25M) already invested in art and over 140,000 registered members, the service has been operating successfully. A simple search for “TESSA” on Naver reveals numerous press coverages, confirming the company’s leading role in asset securitization and STO (Security Token Offering). TESSA is also backed by strategic investors Kiwoom Securities and Kyobo Securities, highlighting its growth as a promising startup. Originally starting with fractional art investments, TESSA has expanded to enable fractional investments in assets such as solar power plants and smart farms through securities issuance. The company also provides enterprise solutions: IXO, an alternative investment securities issuance solution, and IXTO, a token securities management solution. Interestingly, the name TESSA, when read backwards, becomes ASSET. True to its name, the company has issued investment contract securities for tens of billions of won worth of blue-chip artworks, making it possible for individuals to invest fractionally with small amounts through the TESSA platform. So far, about 140,000 people have registered, with around 35,000 actually participating in fractional investments, collectively investing approximately KRW 33 billion in artworks. On the strength of this performance, TESSA has secured strategic investments from Kiwoom Securities and Kyobo Securities, and has cumulatively raised more than KRW 14 billion. Starting this year, TESSA aims to evolve beyond being merely an art fractional investment platform. The company plans to launch advanced services for issuing and distributing securities backed by diverse alternative investment assets—such as solar power plants, smart farm complexes, trademarks, and ships—alongside innovative securities issuance solutions for other issuers.
