Texas American Resources Company (TARC) is a private, independent oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Austin, Texas.  Founded in 1990 by President and CEO, David E. Honeycutt, the Company has a nearly 30-year history of successfully drilling hundreds of wells across multiple on-shore basins in the U.S.  With a multi-disciplined team specializing in geology, engineering, finance and land, TARC uses a subsurface-driven approach, utilizing modern technology to maximize the recovery of hydrocarbons in an efficient and a responsible manner.  

Since 2016, the Company has partnered with First Reserve Corporation, a leading global private equity investment firm exclusively focused on energy.

The Company is currently focused on acquiring and developing properties in South Texas that combine existing production with significant remaining undrilled locations.

TARC previously operated in the DJ Basin, the Barnett Shale and the Texas Gulf Coast, among other basins, where the Company successfully increased production and reserves, resulting in attractive returns for its' sponsors and royalty owners.
