Texas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (Texas ASCD) is a nonprofit organization focused on improving teaching and learning to support the success of all learners. Based in Austin, Texas, and founded in 1947, it serves a diverse membership of about 2,000 educators and education professionals, including superintendents, principals, teachers, curriculum directors, staff developers, students, and professors. It operates as the state affiliate of International ASCD, connecting Texas educators to a broader network and shared best practices. Texas ASCD coordinates 12 regional affiliates that liaise with local schools, concentrating on regional policy issues and delivering professional development to members. In 2023, Dr. Rey retired as Executive Director/CEO after twenty-two years of leadership, marking a notable leadership transition for the organization.
