The Texas Library Association is a Texas-based nonprofit professional association focused on supporting library services across the state. Founded in 1902, it operates as a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization and serves as the official representative for academic, public, school, and special librarians and library supporters. Based in Austin, Texas, the organization serves a community of library professionals and advocates, with a relatively small to mid-sized staff.
