Texas Litter Control is a veterinary services organization that operates a low-cost clinic, an adoption center, a pet food bank, and a shelter support program for companion animals. Its work centers on spaying and neutering, basic wellness care, and extended pet healthcare for income- and program-qualified individuals, along with providing adoption options for fully vetted pets and alternative support such as pet food and healthcare to pet owners considering surrender. The organization also serves as a networking and educational forum for animal welfare groups and offers relief services to other shelters and nonprofits, as well as training for high-volume spay/neuter workflows and mentoring for groups seeking to open clinics. Based in the Houston area (Spring, Humble, and nearby communities in Texas), it operates within the veterinary services industry and has a mission focused on reducing animal suffering in Texas through accessible care, education, and collaboration. In recent years it has engaged in partnerships and grants aimed at expanding adoption efforts in Montgomery County and the broader Houston area.
