Texas Performing Arts is the University of Texas at Austin's performing arts center and one of the largest live arts organizations in the United States, operating venues on the UT campus including Bass Concert Hall, the city's largest theatre. Its presenting programs include Broadway in Austin, the Texas Welcomes touring artists, and a curated season of international theatre, music, dance, and more. It also serves as a producer of new performance, providing creative opportunities to both local artists and national productions. As part of UT's College of Fine Arts, TPA supports the university's public service, research, and educational missions, with extensive educational programs that reach more than twenty thousand students in Central Texas and across the university. Based in Austin, it operates as a mid-sized organization with ongoing community engagement; in 2026 it launched the 2026/27 season and announced a partnership with The Broadway League that enables selected students to advance to The Jimmy Awards in New York City.
