Founded in 1942 and originally known as the Division of Commerce, the college has grown exponentially over the last 75 years. In December of 2000, Texas Tech University alumnus, Jerry S. Rawls contributed a record-breaking cash gift of $25 million to the Texas Tech University College of Business Administration, officially renaming the college to Jerry S. Rawls College of Business. 

Rawls College offers undergraduate, graduate and executive education that center on academic rigor, creative thinking, hands-on learning and service opportunities to prepare a diverse student body for successful careers as leaders, managers, executives and innovators in their chosen fields.
