The Adirondack Review is an independent online literary quarterly founded in the spring of 2000 by Colleen Ryor, with the first issue appearing that summer. We publish interviews, book reviews, nonfiction (articles, essays, excerpts from memoirs), short stories, poetry, photography, film reviews, visual art, and translations from the French, German, and Russian. The editors publish work from established writers whose work has been featured in such publications as The New Yorker, The Washington Post, and The Paris Review as well as completely unknown writers for whom The Adirondack Review is their first publication. We also offer several unpaid internships for which students may have the opportunity to earn college credits at participating colleges and universities. Please review our submission guidelines before sending your best work to the editors.
