The Aluminum Association is a trade organization that represents the full aluminum value chain in the United States, including firms that account for about 70% of aluminum and aluminum products shipped in North America. It acts as the industry’s primary voice and provides global standards, business intelligence, sustainability research, and specialized expertise for member companies, policymakers, and the general public. The U.S. aluminum sector supports roughly $228 billion in economic activity and nearly 700,000 jobs. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, the association supports its members and informs policy discussions across the manufacturing landscape. In May 2025, it released a white paper developed with Wittsend Commodity Advisors outlining pathways to greater domestic self-sufficiency in the aluminum supply.
