Founded in New York in 1917, celebrating 106 years of service, the American Club is the only P&I mutual domiciled in the Americas. Part of the International Group, it offers full cover for Protection and Indemnity and Freight, Demurrage and Defense risks and has in recent years grown and globalized its tonnage. 

In addition to its headquarters in New York, the Club's Managers, Shipowners Claims Bureau, Inc., have operations in Houston, London, Piraeus, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
