The Arc Jacksonville is a mid-sized nonprofit organization based in Jacksonville, Florida, operating in the individual and family services sector. Established in 1965, it originated as a grassroots effort to expand educational opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has since widened its community-based services. The organization runs programs from three main locations and five group homes, serves around 400 individuals daily, and employs about 130 staff, with additional AmeriCorps and VISTA participants and an advocacy program called A.S.K. The Arc Jacksonville aims to enable individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate fully in community life, providing opportunities for learning, employment, and social engagement. In 2025 the organization helped launch the Professional Animal Workers Certificate program in collaboration with the City of Jacksonville and Florida State College at Jacksonville, offering education and hands-on experience in animal care for adults with intellectual and developmental differences. In addition to program delivery, the organization maintains its advocacy function to support the Northeast Florida region through A.S.K.
