The Arc of the Capital Area is one of Texas’ oldest and most respected nonprofit organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). For more than 75 years, we have been committed to building a more inclusive Central Texas where people with IDD can live, learn, work, and thrive with dignity and independence.

We provide lifelong, person-centered services that empower individuals and strengthen families, including comprehensive case management, art and post-secondary education programs, community integration, guardianship and legal support, mental health services, and employment readiness.

Through strong community partnerships, corporate volunteerism, and advocacy efforts, we work to expand opportunities and remove barriers for people with disabilities. Each year, The Arc of the Capital Area supports thousands of individuals and families as they navigate complex systems, access critical resources, and create fulfilling futures.
