Axia Lab is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 in the field of testing. Axia Lab is the preferred lab for those seeking RFID tag validation in new and diverse environments. Axia’s item-level test methods (Threshold, Orientation, and Tagged Item Performance Protocol) are ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited. All testing is conducted in accordance with GS1 standards. Axia Lab has the Controlled Substance Schedule 2-5 Research Lab license. Other testing services available include:

The Institute was founded in 2013 by leaders in value chain creation and development at MSU, including the Eli Broad College of Business, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Engineering, College of Social Science, and School of Packaging. Founding donors include The Dow Chemical Company, Dow Corning Corporation, Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow Foundation, Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation, The Dow Chemical Company Foundation, and the Charles J. Strosacker Foundation.
