The CandEs, short for the Candidate Experience Benchmark Research Program, is a research initiative focused on elevating the quality of the candidate experience in recruiting. Founded in 2011 and now part of Survale, the program produces annual benchmarks for recruiting and hiring that emphasize accountability, fairness, and the business impact of candidate experience. It is the first program of its kind dedicated to promoting a high-quality candidate experience.

Participating organizations distribute surveys to hundreds of thousands of job candidates to assess their experience across the recruitment process, including both successful hires and unsuccessful applicants. The resulting crowd-sourced data lets companies gauge their performance internally and in comparison with the broader industry. The CandEs is based in Santa Cruz, California, and operates within Survale; in 2025, Survale announced the integration of Microsoft Teams as part of platform enhancements.
