The Center for Courageous Kids is a nonprofit medical camp facility based in Scottsville, Kentucky. It was established by the late Elizabeth Turner Campbell, with the camp opening its doors in 2008. The organization provides free experiences for children living with life-threatening illnesses and their families, aiming to offer respite, recreation, and a sense of normalcy. Since its inception, the camp has hosted more than 36,000 medically fragile campers and their families from 45 U.S. states and 13 foreign countries. The center operates within the hospitals and health care sector and remains a relatively small nonprofit organization. In May 2026, it announced a partnership with the Adventure Science Center to broaden its program collaborations.
