Founded in 1898, The Chemists' Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization whose membership is open to anyone with an interest in the chemical sciences, including students (graduate and undergraduate), chemists, chemical engineers, consultants, security analysts, attorneys, and other professions including academia. Student members are welcomed (dues free) and are assisted in: making informed career choices; preparing them for the professional world; and, helping them get jobs. Students are given many opportunities to interact with members of the industry to foster their growth. Such interaction gives students insight into how they can better prepare themselves to be contributing members of the scientific community. Young professional members benefit from networking experiences and learning from more senior members. Insight into industry and academia reaches past what can be taught in formal school settings, preparing our young members for fulfilling and successful careers. Professional members benefit from the club's forums for career development and networking opportunities to meet others who share their interests in the chemical process industries, including biotech, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, paper, metals and the like. They also benefit from being in contact with some of the most promising, dedicated young minds coming into the field. The Club's annual dinner events enable industry professionals to share and exchange ideas as well as to interact and recruit student members and young professionals. We aim to promote growth within the club, converting students into young professionals, and young professionals into senior professionals, for the benefit of all members.
