The Children’s Hospital Trust is an independent non-profit organization focused on fundraising for pediatric healthcare, based in Cape Town and founded in 1994. It partners with the Western Cape Department of Health, UCT’s Paediatrics and Child Health department, and the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, directing more than a billion rand toward public health infrastructure, specialist paediatric training, and child health projects since its inception. Donors fund its work, with 100% of contributions allocated to prioritized pediatric healthcare needs, while administrative costs are covered by an endowment managed by The Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Trust aims to improve access to high-quality healthcare close to home and to support a nurturing environment for patients, families, and staff, underpinned by integrity, accountability, kindness, dynamism and collaboration. A recent development illustrating ongoing partnerships is the February 2026 expansion of its collaboration with Comic Con Africa.
