The Children’s Museum of the East End is a regional museum focused on early childhood education and family learning through playful, hands-on experiences. Based in Bridgehampton, New York, the organization operates within the Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos sector and offers exhibits and programs designed to spark imagination and build connections within the East End community, including partnerships with other arts and social service organizations. Its activities are targeted at children and their families, addressing educational opportunities and developmental support by providing interactive experiences that foster learning through play. CMEE originated from a community-led initiative in Amagansett in the late 1990s, grew to a dedicated space in Bridgehampton by 2005, and now occupies several thousand square feet of exhibition and program space, serving a local audience with a mission to engage diverse backgrounds and abilities. Recent activities include community events such as a Water Balloon Drop Challenge, reflecting ongoing programming and engagement with residents of the region.
