The Cloud Foundation is a small nonprofit based in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1999 by David and Aurélie Edwards, it seeks to provide urban teens with opportunities to develop creative projects across cultural boundaries, using the arts as a bridge to ideas that can evolve into scientific exploration.

Over time, it helped build an international network of experimental idea-development organizations called the Culture Lab, aiming to broaden access to artistic creation and expression for youth in Boston and other cities. Within this network, the Boston 100K ArtScience Innovation Prize supports urban teens as they develop ideas at the crossroads of art and science. Collaborations with Le Laboratoire in Paris and the Harvard Idea Translation Lab have informed its approach to accelerating idea development and learning through creative translation.
