The Comfort Crew for Military Kids is a small nonprofit based in Austin, Texas, founded in 2007 to support children facing the challenges of military life, including deployment, reintegration, moving, injuries (visible and invisible), and grief. The organization works directly with military children and families, offering educational resources and programs designed to build physical and emotional resilience. In partnership with Trevor Romain and the USO, it conducts visits to military children on and off bases worldwide to provide a space for young people to share their experiences and feelings. It has produced a series of care kits intended to address the reintegration obstacles faced by military children, with tens of thousands distributed to US military children by 2012. The group also organizes events focused on education resiliency, such as Camp Train 4 Life and the With You All the Way! Symposium, reflecting its ongoing activities within the civic and social organizations landscape.
