The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) traces its origins to a 1974 collaboration between New York City officials and major banks aimed at revitalizing aging neighborhoods. Since then, it has evolved into a financing partner that supports underserved housing markets in New York City and across the state. 

CPC maintains deep relationships with government agencies, community groups, banks, and other investors, enabling it to work with housing providers to craft customized financing solutions. To date, CPC has financed more than 225,000 affordable housing units, backed by about $14.4 billion in public and private investments, supporting housing for low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities.
