We believe in the strength of community partners to perpetuate systemic change. As a Council, we strive to build strategic alliances and forge cooperative solutions to effectuate change throughout the sports industry by leveraging existing tools and expertise that reside outside of our organization. Our Certification Program is modeled after the U.S. Green Building Council and Green Seal which certifies buildings and materials according to resource conservation and energy efficiency criteria. This program provides an independent, comprehensive certification for event directors to incorporate environmental and socially responsible initiatives into their events while informing consumers which events adhere to higher standards of sustainability. Our Community of Practice Program is a peer-to-peer, multi-stakeholder learning community of leaders in the sport industry that will work to establish best practices and serve as catalysts for greening sport.
