Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, The Dan Marino Foundation is a nonprofit established in 1992 by Dan and Claire Marino after their son Michael's autism diagnosis. Its mission is to empower individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through a range of programs and services. Its initiatives include the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center, the Marino Autism Research Institute, Marino Adapted Aquatics, and the Marino Campus post-secondary school. The foundation leverages technology-enabled supports, offering interview and social-skills practice alongside a virtual learning platform focused on employability, financial literacy, and independent living competencies. In 2022, it partnered with Floreo through its technology arm, QL TechWorks, to advance its autism-focused technology initiatives.
