Founded in 1964 by thirty-nine families, it opened for grades 7–10 in downtown Manchester and moved to its current campus in 1967, with grades 11 and 12 added and the first commencement held in 1968. Over the years, facilities expanded to include a gymnasium, additional classrooms and libraries, and more athletic and performing arts spaces, alongside significant campus growth such as the acquisition of adjacent land and the creation of a middle school building and sixth grade. Today the school enrolls about 370 students and is supported by an outstanding faculty and dedicated trustees as it prepares students for 21st-century educational challenges.
