The Dunes Resort is one of the country’s top gay and lesbian resorts, nestled in the gay friendly beach towns of Saugatuck and Douglas, Michigan.

For 40 years, The Dunes Resort (TDR) has provided a simple, comfortable gay hotel resort experience. Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders (plus straights) come to escape the doldrums of Middle America and enjoy a day, weekend, or week-long getaway. Now crowned one of the largest gay and lesbian resorts and entertainment complexes in the Midwest, The Dunes Resort, formerly the Douglas Dunes Resort, is heralded as Western Michigan’s premier gay and lesbian vacation destination and a pinnacle of the gay Saugatuck Douglas community.
While other area hotels are “gay friendly,” we are the only LGBTQ resort in Saugatuck Douglas. We take pride in offering comfortable accommodations where you can simply be yourself.

But The Dunes Resort is so much more than a gay hotel! Our resort is one of the largest gay and lesbian resorts in the Midwest, and is home to some of the hottest gay bars in West Michigan.
