The Ecology School operates in Maine as an environmental education organization that centers on hands-on learning about science, food, and the environment for people of all ages. The project includes constructing a dormitory and dining commons designed to meet the Living Building Challenge, a standard for sustainable buildings and healthy communities. The Ecology School has strengthened collaborations with Maine outdoor education centers and schools, including partnerships with Sanford Middle School, Chewonki, and Kieve Wavus Education, as part of broader statewide efforts to bring outdoor learning to more students.
