The Edna McConnell Clark Foundation is a small philanthropic organization based in New York that supports programs aimed at economically disadvantaged youth and their families. Founded by a daughter of the Avon founder and her husband, the foundation has pursued a collaborative, outcomes‑driven approach to philanthropy since 1999 to expand the impact of charitable work. In its current phase, it plans to deploy its assets over the next decade to create lasting improvements in the lives of children and families in poverty across the United States. Its staff and operations have transitioned to Blue Meridian Partners, an independent philanthropic investment vehicle that EMCF incubated and where it serves as a General Partner. This arrangement is intended to help EMCF fulfill its commitments and complete its limited‑life strategy in a measured, responsible manner. Earlier, EMCF partnered with the federal Social Innovation Fund in 2011 to identify strong outcomes and support the evaluation of twelve grantees.
